It began in 1830 with Great-grandfather Pigni and his "lawn bleaching". From then onwards, the whole
family history has been closely entwined with fabric-enhancing activities.
This is still a family business even though it is a big company . Production is based on the Continuous
Cycle method, with regular technological updates.
This approach guarantees that huge amounts of work get done, whereas the quality of
our service and products always gain us extra plus points.
The two parts of the business are Candeggio Valle Olona (preparation for printing) and Finissaggio Pigni
(starching, raising and dyeing). Together, they treat 3 million square metres of fabric per week: cotton,
polyester/cotton, rayon/cotton. Each of these fabrics is treatable in widths of between 88 and
360 centimetres inclusive. The two businesses cover an area of 70 thousand square metres, of which 23
thousand are covered. Our fabrics are marketed for use in interior design, household linen and clothing.
